Mr. Sonny Allison, a seasoned, highly focused Nigerian Entrepreneur, with a unique combination of eclectic skill-set and experience, obtained a B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in Business Administration from University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 1976.

He started his career in Nigerian Tobacco Company Plc. [now British- American Tobacco Company (BAT)] in 1977, where he served in various senior positions for ten years. He left BAT in 1987 as Product Development & Marketing Intelligence Manager to join DHL International.

At DHL, he played pivotal roles in the early penetration of the Company into 18 countries in Africa, including Nigeria, in the 1980s and early 1990s, as an Expatriate Country Commercial Manager.

In 1992, he founded Red Star Express Ltd and served as its Founding Managing Director. A First-Class International Courier Company, it became quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 2007. Red Star Express Plc, a Licensee of the Global Express giant – Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) - since 1994, has remained the fastest growing Courier Company in Nigeria.

Mr. Allison is the Founder and Chairman of Capital Security & Surveillance Limited, a Security Service Company that has in its 22 years of operations maintained a remarkable presence in 16 States of Nigeria.

He is also the Founder and Executive Chairman of GMC Logistics Limited, a multi-dimensional, integrated Logistics Firm founded in 2016, with expertise in Supply Chain Management and a network that spans major cities and key airports and ports in Nigeria, Africa and the World. GMC has six Subsidiaries at different stages of development.

He sits on the Boards of a host of Companies including but not limited to SmartPost Nigeria Limited (Chairman), Mega Capital Financial Services Limited (Chairman) and SMS Consulting Ltd – a Market Research Company - (Chairman).

Mr. Allison, Fellow, Courier and Logistics Management Institute (CLMI) Member, Governing Council of CLMI, Member, Board of Association of Outsourcing Professionals of Nigeria (AOPN) and Fellow, African Centre For Supply Chain.
